Edpuzzle Today's Video Lesson U16D5 DUE TODAY In today's lesson, we learn what happens when electromagnetic energy hits a new substance. If the energy can pass through the substance it changes mediums and refracts, if it can not pass it is either absorbed or reflected. Reflections can either be regular, like a mirror, or diffuse, off of rough surfaces. Materials are either transparent, translucent, or opaque.  Notes page 47	Edpuzzle Today's Video Lesson U17D1 DUE TODAY In today's lesson, we learn about the basics of Electricity and Electric Charge. Electricity is usually the flow of electrons, electrons can be transferred by contact, induction, and discharge. When electrons flow it is called current. Notes pages 49 and 50.	Edpuzzle Today's Video Lesson U17D2 DUE TODAY In today's lesson, we learn about electric current, the flow of electrons. Electricity is measured by amperes, the amount of the current, and voltage, the pressure of the current. Resistance opposes the flow of electrons, like friction we try in most cases to minimize it, however, it is often used purposefully to turn electrical energy into thermal energy. Notes pages 50 and 52.	Edpuzzle Today's Video Lesson U17D3 DUE TODAY In today's lesson, we learn about circuits, which are a closed path for the flow of electrons, electric current. Circuits are either series with on loop for the electrons to follow or parallel which allows for more than on loop for the flow of electrons. We also learn the basics of how circuits are drawn which allows people to understand how any particular circuit is configured. Nots pages 52 and 53.	Edpuzzle Today's Video Lesson U17D4 DUE TODAY In today's lesson, we learn about the fundamentals of magnetism. Electricity and magnetism are inherently connected. When current flows through a conductor a magnetic field is produced. When a conductor is moved in a magnetic field electric current is produced. Magnets are made when atoms align in domains, they are strongest at the poles, and can be either permanent or temporary. Notes page 54 and 55.

Edpuzzle Today's Video Lesson U16D1 DUE TODAY In today's lesson, we begin to learn about the unique properties of sound waves, how the density and temperature of the medium affect the speed of sound, our perception of sound intensity which is loudness, and pitch. Notes page 42	Edpuzzle Today's Video Lesson U16D2 DUE TODAY In today's lesson, we learn about the Doppler Effect and how the movement of either the observer or the source of a wave affects its frequency.  Notes page 43	Edpuzzle Today's Video Lesson U16D3 DUE TODAY In today's lesson, we learn about some of the uses of sound, including Echolocation, Sonar, and Ultrasound. All of these use the formula S=D/T to calculate an image using the speed of sound and the time for an echo to return. Notes page 44	Edpuzzle Today's Video Lesson U16D4 DUE TODAY In today's lesson, we learn about The Electromagnetic Spectrum and some of the applications for the different types of electromagnetic energy. Radio waves are the longest with the least energy and are not dangerous to humans, Gamma radiation is the highest energy with the shortest wavelength and are very dangerous. Edpuzzle Today's Video Lesson U15D3 DUE TODAY In today's lesson, we begin to learn about wave properties; the amplitudes of longitudinal and transverse waves. Amplitude is the measure of the energy a wave carries. Notes page 37	Edpuzzle Today's Video Lesson U15D4 DUE TODAY In today's lesson, we continue to learn about the properties of waves. We are going to focus on wavelength, frequency, and speed. Notes page 38	Edpuzzle Today's Video Lesson U15D5 DUE TODAY In today's lesson, we learn wave behavior, specifically what waves do when they hit a barrier. Waves can bounce off the barrier, go through the barrier as it becomes a new medium. These interactions are called reflection and refraction. Notes page 39	Edpuzzle Today's Video Lesson U15D6 DUE TODAY In today's lesson, we learn about what happens when a wave hits a barrier that it can bend around this interaction is called diffraction. We also learn what happens when waves run into each other that interaction is called interference. Finally, we learn that materials can absorb wave energy which is called resonance.
